Organizing Neighborhoods for Equality (ONE) Northside is a dynamic grassroots organization that unites our diverse communities across the Northside. Through bold and vibrant community organizing and rapid response networking, they continue to fight for racial, social, and economic justice and transform our beloved neighborhoods.

The 46th Ward Democrats are driven to elect Democratic candidates and support their policies at all levels of government. The 46th ward consistently has one of the highest voter turnout rates in Chicago, and the 46th Ward has sent many volunteers to swing states in the Midwest to work to elect candidates at the state and federal levels. Sweet Home Uptown is getting closer by the days, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all! We are thrilled to announce this year’s Legacy Leader, Marc Kaplan.

Marc is the leader of NA4J (Northside Action 4 Justice), responsible for many victories, and an activist dating back to Heart of Uptown Coalition. People either love him or hate him, but no one denies that he defines commitment to organizing, community and social justice in Uptown and is a person way overdue for recognition. We are very grateful for his work, and are so excited to honor him in a few weeks!

POAH is a nationwide organization that is committed to developing, managing, and preserving high-quality affordable housing.
