The Polish American Association’s Homemaker Program helps eligible older adults live safely and independently in the place they call home.

Our services may include:

Our Answer: I Don't Enjoy Anything Anymore - How Do I Start Living Again?

This “Ask Anything” session is a part of the Polish American Association’s community health program, created to talk openly and honestly about real-life challenges many people face - especially within immigrant communities.

Together with Aleksandra Papiez Zubek, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), PhD Candidate, and Mina Gerall, Community Health Program Liaison, we explore common topics like loneliness, stress, emotional burnout, and the difficulty of building connections in a new country.

A Successful Hiring Event for LOT Polish Airlines Lounge at O’Hare Airport

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the LOT Polish Airlines Lounge Hiring Event on June 3!

The event, co-hosted by the Polish American Association and Pyramid Workwise Alliance, brought together job seekers and employer representatives for a productive afternoon of networking, career exploration, and on-site interviews.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn about a variety of positions available at the LOT Polish Airlines Lounge at O’Hare International Airport, speak directly with hiring managers, and take the next steps toward exciting new career opportunities.

We appreciate LOT Polish Airlines Lounge, Pyramid Workwise Alliance, and all participating candidates for helping make this event a success. Creating connections between employers and job seekers is an important part of our mission, and we are encouraged by the positive turnout and engagement throughout the event.

On Wednesday, May 20, PAA launched its Summer Series with a community forum on Caring for Our Aging Parents. Many of us will face this responsibility, but few feel fully prepared to navigate it with confidence and care.
We’re grateful to Dr. Kenneth Fils for his thoughtful guidance on cognitive changes, daily routines, and managing guilt and frustration. Thank you also to Bo Wazydrag and Renata Jasniuk for sharing practical advice on supporting seniors at home, and to all our guests for bringing such important questions and perspectives to the conversation.
