Beware

BEWARE OF this SCAM on Instagram: a scam using the Instagram name love_haleyyy (Haley Smith) is attempting to impersonate the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and is apparently targeting students who have an email address in their profile associated with an educational institution. This scammer is sending direct messages on Instagram falsely claiming to be associated with ISAC in what appears to be an effort to fraudulently access individuals' bank accounts. ISAC is a state agency that administers state grant and scholarship programs that are paid to students through their institutions. We communicate with students only through secure email and our ISAC call center, and we will never contact a student about their grants or loans through social media. If you are contacted by this scammer, do not share any private banking information with them and please immediately report both the profile and the message on Instagram.
