Hey everybody,

Long time, no talk. It's been a while.

Last time we were with one another, we were celebrating all the hard work we did to help reelect President Barack Obama. Maybe it was at one of our neighborhood gatherings, maybe it was in Washington at some of the inaugural events, or maybe it was over coffee or drinks at one of our homes. Maybe on your own you quietly took joy and pride in a job well done while looking at the newspaper. No matter what, I'm sure you enjoyed how it felt to be a part of something so important, something so rewarding, and something that so shaped the future of our country.

If you're anything like me, you know the last four years or so have been tough at times. It's been hard to stay engaged with politics, let alone to carve out the time to volunteer to affect them. And maybe watching it all has been frustrating or maybe this election so far hasn't gone how you thought it would -- or even maybe how you'd have liked. But I'm really confident you all remember that feeling of being involved and having an impact. And I bet that as we've gotten closer and closer to election day, it's become clear that the stakes of this campaign are at least as high as -- probably far higher than -- the one in which we all invested so much of our time and effort.

That's why I'm writing this today. One of the things we all knew back in 2012 if is that if the morning after the election, we woke up to the news that Mitt Romney had won, we'd all have kicked ourselves if we knew we could've done even just a little bit more to prevent that. This time around, that thought has to be much stronger: if the headlines on November 9th talk of "President-Elect Donald Trump", I know I'll ask myself if there was any more work I could've done, any more phone calls I could've made, any more doors I could've knocked on, to make sure that didn't happen. The thought of telling my son I didn't do everything I could to stop that is terrifying to me.

And on the flip-side, I know that if the headlines on November 9th talk of "President-Elect Hillary Clinton", I'll have a lot to be proud about. She's on our side of -- and championing -- all the same issues President Obama did back in 2012. She's clearly the only choice for President, and I'm going to be proud to volunteer and vote for her.

Stay tuned to this page for more information about specific events and schedules. For now, I want to relay a few pieces of info if you don't already have them:

Truth be told, I myself haven't done enough this campaign. Yet. But I plan on changing that, and I hope you join me.

"Today, a proud nation expresses our gratitude. But we do so mindful that no ceremony or parade, no hug or handshake is enough to truly honor that service. For that, we must do more. For that, we must commit—this day and every day—to serving you as well as you’ve served us." — President Barack Obama
