Secretary Treto joined students participating in the Future Presidents of America Youth Leadership Camp at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum yesterday in Springfield. As part of the program, Secretary Treto shared his leadership journey and encouraged students to embrace opportunities to serve, lead with purpose, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.

The Future Presidents of America program empowers young people to develop confidence, civic awareness, and leadership skills while exploring what it means to be an engaged citizen. Secretary Treto was honored to connect with such a bright and motivated group of future leaders, reminding them that leadership begins with a willingness to learn, serve others, and step forward when opportunities arise.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum for the invitation and investing in the next generation of leaders. Programs like these inspire young people to dream big, lead with integrity, and help shape a stronger future for Illinois and beyond.

Please join us in congratulating the June recipients of IDFPR’s iRecognize Employee Awards. These awards honor two team members whose dedication and exceptional contributions profoundly impact our agency and the communities we serve.

Patrick Golembeck over the past nine months, has demonstrated exceptional initiative, leadership, and dedication during a period when our Agency Purchasing Officer was out on multiple leaves. He not only maintained his own procurement portfolio with minimal oversight but also ensured that all agency‑wide procurements and new requests moved forward seamlessly. His reliability and steady performance were critical to keeping operations running without interruption. Patrick’s initiative, leadership, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental to the agency’s continued success during a challenging period. His work exemplifies excellence in public service and reflects the highest standards of professionalism.

Jason Harmon consistently delivers timely, high‑quality work on every request assigned to him. When webpage layouts are provided to Jason in Word templates, he goes beyond simply uploading the content. While the templates ensure required information is included, Jason’s deep familiarity with our website platform enables him to recognize opportunities to add visuals, refine structure, and improve overall accessibility. Because of his expertise, the final webpages are clearer, easier to navigate, and far more user‑friendly. His contributions greatly strengthen the quality, clarity, and usability of our website. Jason’s dedication, professionalism, and consistent excellence make him an invaluable member of our team, and his work has a meaningful impact on the public we serve.

Congratulations, Patrick and Jason!

Division of Real Estate Director Laurie Murphy had the honor of presenting at the annual Legal, Ethical, & Professional Landscape in Real Estate event hosted by the Association of South Asian Real Estate Professionals (ASARP) on Friday, May 29.

During her presentation, Director Murphy highlighted Section 15-15 of the Real Estate Act, emphasizing the fiduciary duties of real estate professionals and prioritizing the best interests of the client as the north star of every transaction.

The Division of Real Estate appreciates the collaborative relationship with ASARP throughout the years. We are also grateful for the contributions of ASARP Vice-Chair Shirin Marvi and ASARP Joint Treasurer Nick Verma, who currently serve on our Real Estate Administration and Disciplinary Board and Auction Advisory Board, respectively.
