Dear Neighbor:

Growing up on the Southwest Side of Chicago I learned the values of hard work and service to others, as well as the importance of using common sense. I have brought these principles, along with the problem-solving skills I learned as an engineer, to the classroom as a teacher and to service in the U.S. In Congress I have always fought the status quo of endless bickering that produc

es gridlock and hurts our nation. I work to bring people together to solve problems and address issues such as middle class job creation, fixing our transportation systems, making health care more affordable, helping small businesses, promoting American innovation, and honoring veterans and seniors. I also take pride in the work my staff and I do to help constituents. It is an honor to serve as your Representative in the U.S. I hope that I've earned your vote in the Democratic Primary on March 20, 2018.
