The African American Leadership Council_ Obama 2012 In addition to working with established supporters, the AALC actively recruits new donors and volunteer fundraisers to the political process.

The African American Leadership Council (AALC) is the constituency council of the Obama campaign dedicated to increasing the number of Black donors and volunteer fundraisers supporting the 2012 re-elect effort. The Council seeks to raise the profile of these donors both within the Black community as well as in the broader national political arena. The AALC serves as the vehicle to demonstrate that

the African-American community, beyond providing votes on Election Day, is an integral partner in the campaign finance process.
