A successful operation by the 1562 Tactical Team on March 21, 2026, led to the arrest of an individual in the Central and Fulton area. The team used a POD surveillance system to monitor the area and observed an individual matching a suspicious description. Upon further investigation, the individual was found to be in possession of cannabis and a fully loaded handgun without a valid FOID or CCL. The individual was taken into custody and charged with felony AGG UPW.

The Chicago Police Department’s Gang Investigation Division recovered multiple fi****ms and more than $4 million worth of suspected narcotics during a six-month investigation that concluded earlier this month.

This investigation focused on narcotics being trafficked in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. As part of this investigation, officers served a search warrant on January 10, 2026, at the residence of a convicted felon involved in the narcotics trafficking.

During the search, officers recovered various suspected narcotics with an estimated street value of $4.3 million, five fi****ms and approximately $54,000 in cash.

The convicted felon, 36-year-old Travis Taylor, was arrested and charged with:
▪️ One felony count of Methamphetamine Manufacturing 900+ Grams
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture/Deliver 900+ Grams of Cocaine/Analog
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture/Delivery 900+ Grams of Heroin/Analog
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture/Delivery 900+ Grams of Fentanyl
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture 900+ Grams of Ecstasy/Analog
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture/Delivery of 30+ Grams of Ketamine/Analog
▪️ One felony count of Manufacture/Delivery of 100
