Bruce Rauner's office issued a statement defending this racist cartoon put out by the Illinois Policy Institute. Most of Rauner's senior staff have come from this same right wing, Koch brother funded organization. It was immediately condemned by both Democrats and Republicans. Yet Governor Rauner and his staff defended the cartoon... at a time when the nation is trying to recover from the horrific events in Charlottesville.

Bruce Rauner was willing to let the State's credit rating go to "Junk" to get his right-wing agenda enacted. "It's hard to really point to a lot of strong accomplishments," said Christopher Mooney, of the University of Illinois. "Is it enough to say, 'I worked hard for you. I couldn't get it done, but keep me and I'll keep working at it?' Or does he look like an ineffectual bumbler that's driven the state into the toilet?"

Yet again, Bruce Rauner has blocked genuine compromise. A "Grand Bargain" was negotiated by Democrats and Republicans, but it didn't contain enough of Rauner's right wing, wage lowering agenda to make him happy. Illinois families are hurting while Bruce Rauner is smiling.

Bruce Rauner's tenure as Governor would be laughable... if he hadn't hurt so many innocent people. Governor Gridlock proposed eliminating after school funding and reducing funding for higher education. Even with those awful cuts, Rauner still refuses to offer a balanced budget.

While thousands of Illinoisans were protesting Trump's un-American Executive Order, Bruce Rauner was attending a posh retreat hosted by his fellow billionaires, the Koch brothers.

After two years, Illinois is still without a full budget under Rauner. Our state is in crisis. We think Governor Gridlock should spend his time compromising and passing a budget.... rather than cozying up to the Koch brothers.
