13th Edition of Africa Speakers Series Featuring The United Republic of Tanzania!

You are invited to the 13th Africa Speaker Series - A Monthly Business Networking Forum Featuring Investing Opportunities in the United Republic of Tanzania with Keynote Speaker , Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the United States. Happy & Joyful Memorial Day!

On this National Moment of Remembrance, let’s take a moment to honor and pray for the Sons and Daughters of this Country both home and abroad on mission to protect our lives and humanity. It’s a time for action to bring peace and stop all wars globally. It’s time to treat with dignity the displaced people because of wars. It’s a time to hold accountable for those who committed the heinous crimes against humanity. It’s a time for economic development and more intra-trade & trade between Nations!!!

We’re still energized from the success of our “Investing in Burundi” event this past month!

It was an incredible opportunity to learn more about Burundi’s natural resources—especially its rare earth minerals—and to explore the many possibilities for investment and growth.

We were honored to hear from H.E. the Ambassador Jean Bosco Barage, who encouraged Burundians around the world to come together and contribute to building the country’s socio-economic future.

Thank you to all our speakers, attendees, and everyone who joined virtually. From networking to one-on-one conversations, this event truly brought people together in a meaningful way.

The leaders of Africa Global Chamber of Commerce ( ) and World Business Chicago ( ) work tirelessly in tandem to attract and look for business opportunities to our beautiful City of Chicago’s economic development and growth. Last Thursday April 23, 2026, the two institutions had strategic & productive meeting that brought together , Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Burundi to the United States and Americas, , Vice-Chairman of , and , Co-Founder & Chairman of . The purpose of the meeting was to explore investment and trade opportunities between the City of Chicago and Burundi. Burundi’s HE Ambassador offers to the City of Chicago to supply real earth and critical minerals (Nickel, Gold, Lithium, Titanium, Coltan, etc.) needed for technology industry development, Coffee, Tea, Fish, and many more export products. On the other hand, Mr. Smith highlighted what the City of Chicago can do in terms of investments in Burundi to add value to the natural resources and exports technologies and equipment, waste and clean energy, know-know, etc. The two leaders shared gifts as symbol of shared-value of Ubuntu spirit.

Africa Day at UIC did NOT disappoint 🔥🌍✨
Hosted by the African Graduates Student Association

From the music to the food, the laughter to the trivia — every moment was a celebration of culture, excellence, and community. The students at UIC truly outdid themselves.

A standout moment of the evening was Dr. Kamanzi’s moving speech on “Carrying Home Within Us.” He shared powerful personal stories about returning to Rwanda after years abroad to help build the country’s financial sector and stock exchange — a reminder that no matter where life takes us, we have the power to pour back into the continent.

We were also honored to see him receive a well-deserved award 👏🏾

There was no dull moment — just pride, purpose, and pure African joy.
