Excellent news for African Growth and Opportunity Act ( ) extension till 2028!

President Donald Trump has signed the legislation extending the African Growth and Opportunity Act ( ) through December 31, 2028, after the Congressional bipartisan. AGOA is a preferential program that allows qualifying Food and non-Food products from eligible Sub-Saharan African Countries duty free access to the U.S. markets. This is a win for all our organizations that have worked hard with the Members of Congress and United States Trade Representative. More work is ahead of us to make this program a permanent agreement!

Africa Global Chamber of Commerce ( ) and Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association ( ) are pleased to announce the signing of a today, August 18, 2026, at the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Chicago. This partnership represents a major step toward strengthening economic cooperation and achieving sustainable growth between Egypt, the countries of the African continent, and the United States at the private sector and investment level. I am pleased to enter into this long-term business partnership with the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA). This partnership aligns perfectly with AGCC’s mission of advocacy and promoting trade and investment between Africa and the global markets, including the United States of America. By working together, we will foster opportunities for economic operators and Egypt-made products to enter the United States markets and beyond. Thank you to our Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, , Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the US and Mexico, our distinguished Speakers: , Former Acting Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, , Board Secretary of AGCC, , CEO of Coje Consultants, Inc., , CEO of MitchellGarvey, , CEO of Agate Solutions, LLC, , Project Finance at Hafnia Energy, , MD, Owner of Livingston Medical Group, and all participants. The Investment Forum was impactful and participants gained valuable insights about Tanzania’s key priority investment sectors including Critical Minerals, Agribusiness, Technology, Infrastructure, Energy, Healthcare, Tourism, Transport and Logistics, and other high-growth opportunities. Congratulations to , Minister for African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese living abroad of the Rep. of Senegal and for the concluded successful Special Edition - FIFA World Cup 2026 at Rutgers University, New Jersey this June 14-15, 2026. I had the opportunity to have one-on-one meeting with Minister and make the announcement of the upcoming ( ) in Dakar, Ghana on December 3-4, 2026. It was a great pleasure to explore areas of collaboration with , Fmr Minister of Economy, Plan & Cooperation - Sénégal and Candidate President of African Development Bank ( ).
