The Illinois legislative session ended with more spending, more government programs, and nearly $1 billion in new taxes.

While politicians head home from Springfield for the summer, taxpayers remain on the hook.

Once again, the Democrat-controlled Illinois General Assembly failed to pass its own proposal to keep the Bears in Illinois.

Whether you believe the stadium bill was a good deal for taxpayers or not, one thing is clear: a bill written and supported by Democratic leadership could not get across the finish line after multiple legislative sessions.

Meanwhile, Indiana's leaders have shown they are willing to move quickly when economic opportunities arise. If the Bears ultimately choose to relocate, Illinois could lose jobs, investment, and future tax revenue that would have benefited our communities.

Illinois families deserve leaders who can work together, make decisions, and create an environment where businesses and jobs stay here. Too often, politics as usual has resulted in missed opportunities, economic uncertainty, and residents looking elsewhere for work and opportunity.

It's time for a different approach. It's time for accountability, economic growth, and leadership focused on keeping jobs and investment in Illinois.

If you're tired of the same results, vote for change.
