Whealan Pool Aquatic Center Forest preserve with public swimming pool featuring water slides, elevated lawn & sand play area. This natural heritage offers something for everyone.

An all ages Family Aquatic Center featuring large waterslides, small children's slides, lap pool, play features. Programs and Events include : CELTS Swim School for all ages, all abilities, and all levels; World's Largest Swim Lessons; Semi-Private and Private Rentals as well as add on's such as SCUBA and H2OoooH! Playground Parties and Food Packages; Flick and Floats; Surprise Events; Live Music.

The Family Aquatic Center also features a Radio with clean handpicked music for all ages, with announcements in both English and Spanish; and a concession stand! The Forest Preserves of Cook County, with nearly 70,000 acres, is the largest urban forest preserve district in the United States. It receives an estimated 40 million visits each year, providing an escape into a world teeming with wildlife and rich with outdoor recreation and environmental education opportunities. Within its boundaries are rare habitats that offer plant and animal diversity on par with the rainforests of the world. Important announcement!

Whealan Aquatic Center will be closed Sunday July 27th and Monday July 28th for maintenance. We will reopen on Tuesday July 30th for our normal operating hours (10:30am-5:30pm).

With the weather report showing warmer temperatures over the next few days, we are anticipating hitting maximum capacity. If you plan on visiting, please arrive at opening (22nd-24th at 10:30am & 25th-27th at 10:00am). If you arrive and we are at maximum capacity, we will be letting guests in as other guests leave to ensure everyone has a safe, fun experience! Thank you!
