Last week, I had the honor of speaking on House Resolution 913, recognizing May 2026 as Jewish American Heritage Month in Illinois.

At a time when antisemitism and Islamophobia continue to fuel violence and division, we must stand together in solidarity and celebration of the diversity of traditions, cultures, faiths, and voices that strengthen our communities. This resolution uplifts the civic and cultural contributions Jewish Americans have made and reaffirms our collective commitment to condemning hate and violence in all its forms.

La semana pasada, tuve el honor de intervenir sobre la Resolución 913 de la Cámara de Representantes, que reconoce mayo de 2026 como el Mes de la Herencia Judía Estadounidense en Illinois.

En un momento en que el antisemitismo y la islamofobia siguen alimentando la violencia y la división, debemos unirnos en solidaridad y celebrar la diversidad de tradiciones, culturas, creencias y voces que fortalecen nuestras comunidades. Esta resolución destaca las contribuciones cívicas y culturales que han hecho los judíos estadounidenses y reafirma nuestro compromiso colectivo de condenar el odio y la violencia en todas sus formas.

☀🥪 Summer EBT is back to help eligible families buy food during the summer months. Each eligible school-aged child will receive a one-time benefit of $120. Most eligible children will receive benefits automatically, while some households may need to apply.
