THANK YOU for your donations and help in making our 2026 Walk-A-Thon a success! We continue to be incredibly thankful to have such a supportive community. From your donations to cheering on our students, we couldn’t do it without you! Huge shout out to Mrs. Carman and Mrs. Martin for all of their hard work in making today successful - despite the rain scare!

We are still accepting donations through Sunday - with your help, we’ve raised over $15,000!

We had a very special day today. We hosted the first of six whole school Buddy events. In the past, we had middle schoolers team up with kindergartners through 2nd graders. Now, we have EVERYONE involved. K/3rd/6th graders were put together. 1st/4th/7th graders were all buddies. And, 2nd/5th/8th were also a group. Each group did different activities to get to know their buddies and have some fun. We had kids decorating pumpkins, reading books to each other, sharing their favorite foods, and other awesome things.

Enjoy these pics, everyone and the EPE PTA! We have started another wonderful tradition of inclusion and acceptance at EPE.

EPE wants to thank Delta Dental of Illinois for coming to the school the other day to help our students learn about the importance of good oral health. And, everyone walked away with a super cool dinosaur toothbrush.

Our 3rd graders were exploring fossils. We had a guest speaker come from the Field Museum to teach our students about fossils and have the chance to play with them. Supper cool.

Our 8th graders have been busy planning some fun and creative fundraising opportunities to help support their end-of-year activities and create some special memories together. We’ve put together a flyer highlighting the fundraisers planned so far, including a staff T-shirt sale, car wash, Parent Night Out babysitting, and a holiday breakfast.

These are just a few of the ideas currently planned, with more fundraisers in the works throughout the year!

We’re excited to involve the students and give them opportunities to take an active role in making these fundraisers successful.

Thank you so much for helping us share this with our EPE families and for supporting the Class of 2027!

I want to thank the entire team of teachers who helped put on such a terrific International Night for our families and students. As a school who believes in a ‘community for all’, this truly shows that we are inclusive and want to learn about other cultures.

Thank you to all of the families who spent time preparing their spaces for the event. Most spent hours preparing food, making posters with information about their homeland, creating activities for attendees to do, and provided insight into their cultures. We are grateful for your dedication to make tonight a huge success.
