The Daley family (Rich and Bill) created the Hispanic Democratic Organization (HDO) to control the Hispanic vote and counter the black vote. They put people like Danny Solis in charge, because he was corrupt and they could control him.

Mendoza accused Gery Chico of being "part of the very same corrupt system" as Bill Daley and Toni Preckwinkle. All three mayoral rivals returned fire.

Gery Chico supported Ed Vrdolyak and Ed Burke over Harold Washington in the racist City Council wars. Vrdolyak and Burke are both corrupt aldermen. This is who Chico owes his career to!

Ald. Edward Burke has been waiting nearly 42 years to take over Chicago. If Gery Chico wins, he'll have his chance.
