Dance: A Moving Canvas

Dance: A Moving Canvas Dance: A Moving Canvas seeks to expand dance audiences in Chicago by enabling audience members to deepen their understanding of the choreographic process.

Audience Architects, Arts & Business Council of Chicago (A&BC), and Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC) present Dance: A Moving Canvas. Dance: A Moving Canvas is a new program that seeks to expand dance audiences in Chicago by enabling select participants to deepen their understanding of the choreographic process. It will provide select audiences with guided methods to deepen understanding of choreogr

aphic principles, learn how those principles relate to similar constructs in the creation of visual art, and then in moderated dialogue, participate in real time in the choreographic process. Audience Architects, a dance service organization, will develop, manage, and co-curate a series of events and companion activities for a targeted and specific group of 50-75 culturally curious participants who will be invited to deeply engage. “Dance: A Moving Canvas” offers participants first-hand experiences to delve inside the process of making dance via interactive gallery showings, and then furthers the deepening of this new knowledge, both online and at subsequent, complimentary post-performance discussions.
