Transcend Life is partnering with
Carver Military Academy to bring you
“Transcend’s Corner”

— a traditional afterschool program offering a supportive environment & safe space, where students can release stress and anxiety, manage their emotions, and realign their goals and future ambitions.
Students can participate in workshops ranging from; Theatre & Arts, Braid Camp + Hair Styling, Swimming, Reading, Dance, Music, Yoga, and more!

Together,
we’re going to empower the Carver students to thrive!
Personally, Culturally, Educationally & most of all Mentally ✨

The twins thoroughly enjoyed this Baseball/Softball program. We plan to continue with the winter clinic, and if you have children aged 8-10, don’t miss the chance to enroll them in the CBEA Winter 2026 Baseball Camp at UIC.

CBEA programs provide free, year-round baseball and softball coaching, training, and mentoring for youth aged 8-18 from diverse, under-resourced Chicago neighborhoods. In partnership with UIC Flames, experienced players and coaches deliver high-quality instruction on skills, rules, fundamentals, and sportsmanship.

As a parent & advocate for community; I loved how the clinic incorporated “Social-Emotional Learning”, offering practical strategies for guiding and supporting young champions both on and off the playing field.

The importance of thoughts, what’s said, what’s heard, and what’s actually understood lies within interconnectedness, shaping effective communication and mutual understanding.
Clear thoughts lead to meaningful expressions, while what is said can influence perceptions, but the listener’s interpretation depends on active listening and comprehension.
Misunderstandings often arise when there’s a gap between what is heard and what is truly understood, emphasizing the need for clarity, empathy, and reflection in interactions to foster accurate communication and shared meaning.

Communication is Key to a healthy Transcendence.

This is never a competition for us,
this will forever be Therapy the DOPE way.
We ate 3rd like it was 1st place bc it takes courage to get out in front of people and do what you LOVE. We salute everyone because there are no losers when it’s for the people!!
I couldn’t have been more proud of every organization who showed up & put forth their best EFFORT & dedicated their time and talents into the community of Altgeld Gardens!!!
