Civitas Education Partners (CEP), is a school management organization that operates four campuses of Chicago International Charter School (CICS), CICS Ralph Ellison, CICS Northtown Academy, CICS Wrightwood Elementary School and CICS ChicagoQuest High School. The 2nd Annual May Mental Health Awareness Fair, “Mind Over Madness,” organized by Project REACH, is a school-wide event dedicated to promoting mental wellness, self-care, and emotional support among students and the community. Through engaging activities and community partnerships, the fair encourages students to prioritize their well-being, reduce the stigma around mental health, and seek support when needed.

La 2.ª Feria Anual de Concientización sobre la Salud Mental de Mayo, titulada "Mind Over Madness" y organizada por Project REACH, es un evento que abarca a toda la escuela y que está dedicado a promover el bienestar mental, el autocuidado y el apoyo emocional entre los estudiantes y la comunidad. A través de actividades atractivas y colaboraciones comunitarias, la feria alienta a los estudiantes a priorizar su bienestar, reducir el estigma en torno a la salud mental y buscar apoyo cuando sea necesario.

CICS Wrightwood has been named a district Best Practice for its strong leadership, effective systems, and commitment to helping all learners through data-driven teaching. As part of this honor, the school will welcome peer schools for a collaborative visit, where visitors can see these practices in action during a data review and classroom walkthrough. This recognition celebrates the dedication and innovation of the CICS Wrightwood team, whose work inspires other schools in the district.

CICS Wrightwood ha sido designada como una «Mejor Práctica» del distrito por su sólido liderazgo, sus sistemas eficaces y su compromiso de apoyar a todos los estudiantes mediante una enseñanza basada en datos. Mr. James Klise, our Librarian at CICS Northtown Academy, has been awarded a 2026 Jack Hazard Fellowship from New Literary Project!

Mr. Klise was selected to receive this $5,000 award to support his fiction project, "Wilderness Grace," this summer. We can't wait to see where "Wilderness Grace" takes you!

CICS Ralph Ellison has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) through the U.S. Department of Education's Charter School Program. This investment will launch a new career-connected high school model that connects students' interests to rigorous academics and long-term success.
