Mental health support is available for Chicago residents through the Chicago Department of Public Health's CARE Program.

The CARE Program helps individuals experiencing mental health crises by connecting them with trained behavioral health professionals who can provide on-site assessments, de-escalation services, counseling, and connections to additional resources. The program is designed to offer compassionate, community-based support and help individuals access the care they need.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911 and ask for the CARE Team. Additional resources are available through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and other community support services.

June marks the beginning of Pride Month, a time to celebrate love, diversity, acceptance, and the many ways people express who they are.

Love is love. It transcends boundaries, brings people together, and reminds us of our shared humanity. Throughout this month, we recognize the contributions, resilience, and vibrant spirit of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride is a celebration of authenticity, respect, and the freedom to live openly and proudly.

With beautiful colors and loving hearts, people from all walks of life come together because that is what the heart wants, connection, understanding, and love. As we celebrate Pride Month, let us continue to build communities where everyone feels seen, valued, respected, and welcomed.

Wishing everyone a joyful, safe, and meaningful Pride Month.
