This Memorial Day weekend we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our freedoms. We also stand beside the families carrying that loss every single day, and we want to say that your sacrifice will never be forgotten!

As we kicked off Memorial Day weekend through the Chicago Veterans Ruck March, thousands came together across our city to honor those lost abroad and the veterans we have lost at home to su***de. Every step taken was a reminder that remembrance must be matched with action, community, and support for those still fighting battles long after service.

To every participant, volunteer, sponsor, community partner, and supporter: THANK YOU!! 🖤 Your time, energy, and commitment helped create a powerful weekend of remembrance, healing, and connection. A special thank you to our volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible.

Freedom is not free. We will never forget the fallen, and we will continue fighting for the veterans still with us today. 🇺🇸

“This event charity is important to me because I have a bunch of family and friends that served in the military. And I've seen the troubles some people have to go though to get help after service. So I'm more than happy to raise money for this event.”

Join us for a fun and family-friendly Easter Bunny Photo Day with Chicago Veterans and meet the Chicago Vet Center staff. 🐰
Bring your family and join the Veteran community for a FREE digital photo with the Easter Bunny. This is a great opportunity to capture a springtime memory with your kids while connecting with other Veterans and their families.
Photos will be provided digitally after the event so you can easily download and share them. Feel free to bring your own phone or camera to capture additional moments as well.
While you’re here, take time to meet the team at the Chicago Vet Center, learn about the services they offer, and connect with other Veterans in the community. 🐣
The Chicago Vet Center provides confidential counseling and support services at no cost to Veterans, service members, and their families in a welcoming, non-medical setting. Services include counseling for concerns such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST).
This is a free community event, and all Veteran families are welcome. 🫂
