House In The Wood in Delavan Wisconsin is looking for staff to teach our students from Chicago Public Schools. Our season begins with 2 weeks of training on April 4 and ends after 6 weeks of 3-day student visits on May 27. We teach Next Generation Science Standards outdoors AND social emotional learning (SEL) concepts like relationship skills, social awareness, and responsible decision making. We have documented the lasting positive changes in our students and their classroom from just a three day experience with House In The Wood outdoor educators. We are looking for people with a love of outdoors, some basic knowledge about the natural world plus experience and love for working with children. We will train you on everything from trauma-informed care to first aid/CPR to science lessons to SEL. Are you someone who wants to make an impact on our 420 kids this Spring? Apply now!

Trinity Fellows at Marquette University has extended the student application deadline for the 2022-24 cohort to this Friday, January 21, 2022.

Project YES!

AmeriCorps has been a part of the Northwestern Settlement since 1997. The first AmeriCorps program sponsored by the Settlement was Integrating Arts, Intergrading Education, which placed AmeriCorps members in area schools to help teachers develop meaningful arts curriculum in their classrooms. Integrating Arts, Intergrading Education ran from 1997 – 1999. The current AmeriCorps program at the Settlement, Project YES!, started in 2000 and is currently in its eighteenth year of service.
