Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Study Chicago

Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Study Chicago FIMR is a community-oriented process that reviews the circumstances surrounding a fetal or infant death to improve the health and safety of the community.

How does FIMR aim to help communities? To better understand aspects of pregnancy and infant health, we would like to interview you, your spouse (significant other) and your family about your pregnancy or infant loss. Your story is vital to helping understand and lower fetal and infant losses. When participating in the FIMR study, a trained interviewer will follow up with you allowing you and your

family to share your story; with these stories we can get a glimpse into your experience. Your experience is important to better understand the needs of mothers, infants, and families. Your story will help contribute to the development of interventions aimed at helping improve our communities.

🌟 Calling All Expecting & New Parents! 🌟

We’re excited to share that Pregnanting will offer TWO virtual support group options this June β€” one at noon and one in the evening!

πŸ’› What is Pregnanting?
Pregnanting is a peer-led support group for people who are currently pregnant or who recently welcomed a baby. It’s a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other families.

✨ What Makes Pregnanting Different?
These groups are led by people who have been there and want to help others find the support and resources they need to thrive. Meetings are participant-driven, meaning there’s no set agenda β€” group members decide what topics are discussed each week.

πŸ‘Ά Who Can Join?
βœ” Pregnant or birthing parents
βœ” Parents with a baby about 4 months old or younger
βœ” Families living in the City of Chicago or surrounding communities
βœ” Those able to attend virtual meetings once a week for 6 weeks
