What a great turnout for the Emmerson Park cleanup today in partnership with Sierra Club Chicago and Drake Warren! Shout out to Misericordia for showing up and supporting our efforts. We covered the whole park and the Granville and Ravenswood.

It’s official 🎉🗳️

The 40th Ward ranked 6th highest in Democratic voter turnout across the entire city of Chicago.

➡️ 40th Ward Democratic Turnout: 35.15%
➡️ City Democratic average: 25.66%
➡️ Overall turnout (all parties): 27.30%

We’re incredibly proud of this accomplishment. Our goal was to increase voter turnout by 7% from the 2022 Democratic Primary, and we exceeded it.

This doesn’t happen by accident, and it doesn’t happen in silos. It’s the result of real organizing, strong campaigns, and a community that shows up to exercise their rights.

Huge thank you to the 40th Ward Dems Executive Committee, 40th Ward volunteers, and every campaign that helped drive both new and returning voters to the polls. More data to come, but for now, we’re celebrating this moment.

It is deeply concerning to see large corporate PAC money enter the race for 13th House District. With hundreds of thousands of dollars being pumped into this race for one candidate, our largest concern is this local house seat would be bought, not earned.

It is important to elect a trusted member of the community, one who is working hard to run a campaign with integrity. We recommend James O’Brien for State Representative of the 13th House District.
