The Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Police Communications Operator (PCOI) Natalia Rodriguez. Throughout her decade of service to this department, Natalia was a close colleague and friend to many who worked alongside her throughout the years. Professionally, she was a hard worker and dedicated call taker. Natalia’s passing is a terrible loss to her family and to OEMC. Her contributions to 9-1-1 Operations and the City of Chicago will not be forgotten.

Thank you to the Chicago Fire Department for keeping alive the memory of those who gave their lives in service to their fellow Americans on 9/11.

We are going to repopulate the South and West Sides of Chicago.

Every vacant lot presents an opportunity to bring new life and new Chicagoans to our neighborhoods. These Missing Middle projects are helping repopulate communities that have experienced decades of disinvestment.

My administration will continue using every tool available to bring new housing, economic opportunity, and neighborhood growth to communities across the South and West sides.
