Join the upcoming virtual & in person meetings happening next week regarding the Industrial Corridor future planning!

Following the in person engagement in Pilsen, on Tuesday, June 9th residents can join the virtual webinar at 6pm by visiting Chicago.gov/PilsenIndustrial to register!

Then again on Wednesday, June 10th at 6pm in person at the YMCA at 2700 A Western Ave for an open house to provide input and share your recommendations regarding the future usage of the industrial corridor in Little Village! 🌳🏘️

This Saturday, June 6th our office is partnering with to host a local health summit where the public will have the opportunity to learn about bilingual care services available to individuals, families and children 🏘️🌳🫂

Join us for dinner 🍽️ as we will have expert panelist from & providing insight on the day to day support we all need. Followed by a resource fair and engagement with health providers and small businesses 🧘🏽‍♂️

Ald. Sigcho-Lopez proudly joined northwest side partners this morning to stand against Governor Pritzker HB5626 BUILD Bill that allows developers to build more units on residential lots across the state without any requirement that those units be affordable.

By eliminating home rule, this bill will also impact the Northwest Housing Preservation Ordinance, and the Pilsen Preservation ordinance in the 25th ward.

There is no guarantee that new buildings will
be priced for working-class families. New construction in our neighborhoods would be built for the market, not for the people who already live there. We stand in solidarity with the asks to tax the rich, Require affordability and anti-displacement safeguards. As well as Retain demolition surcharges, existing local preservation, anti-deconversion and anti-displacement tools.
