This week, the children in Jones Center's Summer Fun Club Day Camp celebrated and honored Juneteenth! ❤️💛💚
They learned about the history and significance of this important day through puzzles, trivia, and a collaborative coloring poster. The celebration continued with a fun field trip to the zoo!
It was a wonderful week of learning, creativity, friendship, and adventure.

ACEMB is partnering with the Chicago White Sox to support a fundraising opportunity for Jones Center. The event will take place on Mexican Heritage Night, July 10, at 6:40 p.m. For each ticket sold, $10 will be donated back to the Jones Center.

For over 100 years perhaps the most important institution on the East Side, JONES MEMORIAL COMMUNITY CENTER has been serving the needs of the city’s most needy residents – the poor, the aged, the individuals most at risk. Located on the south side of 15th Street west of Hanover since its founding in 1918, JMCC is non-denominational, non-sectarian and non-profit. It’s affiliated with South Suburban United Way.

Who are these people that JMCC ministers to? They perfectly reflect the diversity that has been the core of the East Side community across each one of those 100+ years looking nothing today like it did back then except for the very need JMCC ministers to. Whether the need is for after-school care; snacks, games or dinner; for help with homework; the nourishment of a stocked food pantry; the basic needs of clothing; or simply a room of friendly faces to share together the afternoon away from what otherwise might be a very lonesome existence. The Jones Center Summer Fun Club Day Camp campers had a blast at Stardust Bowling Alley, where they enjoyed bowling, arcade games, laughter, and lots of fun with friends.
It was a great day filled with strikes, smiles, and summer memories! Thank you to Let's Pave and Let's Roof for making our summer fun!

Thank you to First Presbyterian Church in Orland Park for welcoming Jones Center and for your continued partnership and support.
Our partnership spans many decades, and we are grateful for the many ways First Presbyterian Church has helped Jones Center serve the community. Most recently, their support has included providing Friday lunches for community members.
