Mission - As a non-denominational, non-sectarian, non-profit organization, Jones Center strengthens family ties, emphasizes the worth of God’s children (all people), and answers a human need. Jones Center traditionally serves a population of youth and family members from area low-income households of both Latino and African-American descent. Located in Chicago Heights, Jones Center is one of just
a few service providers located in the heart of the community that is dedicated to improving the lives and academics of youth. Jones Center addresses the needs of families through Youth Programs, Family Services/Neighborhood Center, Emergency Services, Senior Programs, and Special Outreach Events. Last year, Jones Center had 214 registered students served 11,971 times, provided 17,750+ meals to out-of-school time participants, served 102 kids in its 9 week summer fun club, presented six $1,000 scholarships to seniors from area high schools, and shared 9 monthly fun-filled luncheons with area seniors.
