This is why we do what we do. ๐Ÿ’™

We received this handwritten letter from a supporter in Louisville, Kentucky โ€” a reminder of what's at stake this November:

"Come Nov, this country can be saved by the Senate. We believe your candidate can be elected and play a role in this salvation. Please accept the enclosed 5 dollars. We really wish we could give more but we live on a fixed income and are supporting non-Republicans in many other states. Good luck in your hopefully successful campaign. With affinity."

Every dollar, every letter, every act of belief from people across this country fuels this campaign. We are so grateful. Join our movement at our website

Just because I am out fighting Washington doesn't mean I can't have a good soundtrack while doing it. Talking a few favorite artists today.

Washington loves solving problems that don't exist.

The Roadless Rule has been on the books for over 20 years. It already handles wildfire management, public safety, and mineral rights access. H.R. 7695 doesn't fix a problem, it invents one, then uses it as an excuse to open 3 million acres of Wyoming's public lands to corporate development.

We don't need more laws. We need representatives who actually do their jobs.

The Kelver case is bigger than one bartender, one crosswalk, and one night in Laramie. It's a test of whether the Second Amendment means what it says โ€” for everyone.

Every law-abiding citizen has a fundamental, constitutional right to protect themselves when physically attacked. Period. This is not a selective right, and it cannot be subject to a popularity contest or cultural approval.

Look at the facts: a citizen used non-lethal de-escalation tactics, never fired a shot, and successfully stopped an assault. Yet the initial physical aggressor walks away without charges while the person who defended themselves faces fifteen years in prison. If the justice system aggressively prosecutes the defender while ignoring the attacker, that is not justice โ€” that is the selective, biased application of the law.

We champion firearm safety, training, and situational awareness. When a citizen takes hunter safety courses, carries responsibly because of a documented stalking threat, and exercises immense restraint under fire, they are doing exactly what responsible gun ownership looks like.

Wyoming law explicitly protects a citizen's right to display a weapon if it is reasonably necessary to deter an assault. If we allow public prejudice to dictate who gets to use that law, we establish a terrifying precedent. A right that only applies to people you like is no longer a right โ€” it is a government permission slip. And once you accept a standard where a self-defense right can be revoked based on who you are rather than what you did, that same weaponized logic can be turned against a rancher, a concealed carrier, or any gun owner in this state.

My position is unshakeable: the Second Amendment and due process belong to all Americans equally. The law must be applied without racial, gender, or ideological bias โ€” every individual judged strictly by the evidence, not by cultural grievances.

Our reps in Washington say H.R. 7695 is about protecting Wyoming from wildfires and beetle outbreaks. The science says otherwise.

Bark beetle outbreaks don't stop at road boundaries โ€” they're just as aggressive in roaded areas. And studies show wildfire ignition risk is actually higher where there are more roads, due to increased human and mechanical activity.

This bill isn't based on forest science. It's based on corporate access.

I won't let bad science be used as cover for a corporate handout.

One bill, one topic. That's it.

James breaks down the change he'd fight for on day one in Washington.

Wyoming hunters and anglers aren't suffering from a lack of roads. They're suffering from a loss of intact habitat.

H.R. 7695 would carve up 3 million acres of Wyoming's backcountry โ€” the clean cold watersheds and wild lands that our elk, deer, and trout depend on. Organizations like Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and Trout Unlimited agree: this bill is a threat to the Wyoming way of life.

I didn't get back into politics to watch Wyoming's hunting and fishing heritage get sold off to corporate interests.

Wyoming's public lands drive $3.5 billion in tourism every year. Sell them off and watch that money disappear.

I'm not letting that happen.
