The Wyoming Long-Term Care Ombudsman, the Department of Family Services, and the Wyoming Department of Health’s Aging Division along with special guests Travis Kirchhefer, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and Ray Macchia, Legal Aid of Wyoming, are pleased to invite you to a joint webinar to raise awareness about elder abuse in Wyoming.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Wyoming recently announced Nicholas Rierson, 35, of Cheyenne, was sentenced to prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

During an investigation conducted by Cheyenne Police Detectives, Rierson’s residence was identified as a place where controlled substances were being distributed. Officers conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle and located 10 grams of fentanyl. During an interview, Rierson admitted to distributing methamphetamine as well as fentanyl and told officers they would find more drugs in totes under his deck. Detectives located 462 grams of methamphetamine and 109 grams of fentanyl in the totes.

Members of the Cheyenne Police Department Community Action Team and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) investigated the crime.
