When you participate in our market, you're not only supporting local commerce, you're also helping support neighbors throughout Laramie County. As one of Community Action's annual fundraisers, 5% of all vendor sales directly support CALC programs and services for local individuals, families, and veterans.

We recently sent a survey to participants in our CSBG (Community Service Block Grant) funded programs, including Project Hope, Transitional Housing, Case Management, Vital Records Assistance, etc., to learn more about their experiences and the impact our services have had on their lives.

We're proud to share some of the feedback we received. These numbers represent real people, real progress, and real change happening right here in our community.

As a board member, you'll help guide our mission of empowering individuals and families through housing, healthcare, veteran services, and supportive programs that strengthen our community.

Our veterans are hoping to spend more time outdoors this summer, and we're looking for a few gently used games and activities to help make that happen!

Do you have any of the following collecting dust in your garage, shed, or basement?

Community Action is proud to have been nominated in four categories for Cap City's Best! Our agency was nominated for the Best Nonprofit Organization (Under People & Places), and then our clinic, Crossroads Healthcare Clinic, was nominated for Best Medical Clinic AND Best Walk In Clinic / Urgent Care (Under Health, Wellness, & Beauty). Lastly, most people don't know this but the Cheyenne Farmer's Market is our annual fundraiser and a percentage of all sales benefits CALC, you can vote for the market as Best Community Event (Under Arts, Entertainment, & Leisure).

We are so proud of the work our staff is doing - voting is open until June 15th, 2026 and you can vote 1x per day!

Community Action of Laramie County wants to thank the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne for their support of our mission. Today, we were honored to attend their luncheon and accept grant funding alongside so many other incredible local organizations.

This funding will go directly toward helping local kids get the eye exams and glasses they need.
