ELK CITY, OK – The Roger Mills County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations of embezzlement.
Investigators learned that 46-year-old Angie Ellis, a former office manager for a pressure pumping company, embezzled money through payroll and false reimbursement claims for company bills that were purported to be paid for with Ellis’ personal credit cards.
An audit was conducted of Ellis’ personal bank statements and credit cards, along with checks Ellis wrote to herself from the company. It was found that from 2023 to 2024, Ellis wrote unauthorized checks for reimbursement towards company bills and other expenses.
The total amount for all unauthorized checks was estimated over $138,000. A payment to one vendor, of over $586.00, was found in Ellis’ bank records.
Based on the information and evidence gathered, an arrest warrant was issued for Ellis by the Beckham County District Court.
On May 7, 2026, Ellis turned herself into the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the Beckham County Jail on charges of Embezzlement.
