This week, WCADVSA staff had the opportunity to participate in the Wyoming Joint Symposium on Children and Youth, bringing together professionals from across the state who are committed to supporting survivors and strengthening coordinated responses to violence, abuse, and trauma.

Our Rural Coordination Specialist and DOJ Representative connected with attendees at the WCADVSA resource table, and our Policy & Systems Coordinator shared her expertise as a conference presenter.

We're grateful for opportunities like this to collaborate, learn, and build partnerships that help improve services and outcomes for survivors across Wyoming.

The 2026 Wyoming Joint Symposium on Children and Youth is honored to welcome two powerful keynote presenters bringing real-world experience, insight, and perspectives from the front lines of child protection and investigations.

On Tuesday, June 9, Detective Michael Collazo will present The Covenant School Tragedy: The Nashville Mass Shooting Event from the Officer’s Perspective — offering firsthand insight into one of the most devastating events impacting children and communities in recent years.

On Wednesday, June 10, Detective Sergeant Jeff A. Udvarhelyi will present Solving the Series – The Case of the Creeper, a case study highlighting investigative strategy and the work behind solving complex crimes.
