May 31st, 8PM - There is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather across far southeastern Wyoming and western Nebraska for Monday. All modes of severe weather are possible: hail (up to 2 inches), damaging wind gusts, and an isolated tornado or two. The strongest storms are expected between 3 and 9 PM, with storms starting in southeast Wyoming and moving east into the Nebraska Panhandle. Stay weather aware on Monday and have multiple ways to receive warnings!

May 31st, 5PM - A stormy week is in store for southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska, with daily chances for isolated to scattered showers and storms. There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather on Tuesday across much of the region along and east of the Laramie Range. Daily storm chances Wednesday onwards will primarily be confined to locations east and north of Carbon County. Temperatures slowly warm through the week, with temperatures back into the 80s and 90s Friday onwards.

A seasonable and mild spring day is expected for most on Monday. Showers start the day in the southern Panhandle with increasing showers and thunderstorms expected along I-25 in the afternoon. Some storms may be severe with large hail and strong winds. Overnight patchy fog along I-80 could develop from the saturated environment.

SPC has issued a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) where all hazards are possible starting Monday afternoon. Mainly in the southern panhandle is the risk of tornadoes, large hail, and severe wind the highest. The overall risk area for large hail and severe winds is the same.

Temperatures will range from the 60's and 70's west of I-25 and 70's to 80's east of I-25. Strong to Severe storms will be possible this afternoon and evening mainly east of the I-25 corridor. Large hail with tornadoes possible mainly in the Nebraska Panhandle this evening! High Winds will kick up overnight into Sunday Morning before gradually dying down in the afternoon. A low-pressure system will shift course over us and move north this evening through Sunday afternoon. As this system shifts north, High winds will be possible this evening through Sunday morning with the expectation of the winds weakening in the afternoon. Drive cautiously when traveling on I-80 and I-25 tonight and Sunday especially if driving a high-profile vehicle.

May 29th, 8:30PM - There is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather across portions of western Nebraska on Saturday, with a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) expanding westward across far southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska. Primary weather hazards will be strong thunderstorms winds capable of producing damage and hail larger than 1 inch. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out, especially across northern portions of western Nebraska near Chadron. Make sure to stay weather aware tomorrow afternoon and have multiple ways to receive warnings!
