Staff Spotlight at Coyote Ridge!

Each week at Coyote Ridge, we celebrate a staff member who truly embodies what it means to be a Coyote! Someone who shows a positive attitude, acts kindly towards self and others, makes wise choices, and always stays safe.

The honored staff member gets a special visitor, Carlyle, who joins them in their classroom for the week. The staff member also writes a chapter in Carlyle’s Adventures!

Howlin’ Highlights from Coyote Ridge!

Some of our 6th graders took their learning on the move with a gallery walk through other 6th-grade classrooms to explore their classmates’ “Life in a Hooverville” posters! What a fun way to celebrate their hard work, learn from one another, and enjoy the creativity across our classrooms!

The spotlight is shining brightly at Coyote Ridge!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Troy Schieferstein, one of our amazing special education paraeducators, who has been selected as the Laramie County School District 1 Board Employee Spotlight for October!

Troy has dedicated 12 years to serving students as an LCSD1 paraeducator. His unwavering commitment to supporting students, calm approach in challenging situations, and willingness to go above and beyond make him such a valuable part of our Coyote Ridge family.

Troy has a special gift for meeting students where they are, treating EVERYONE with kindness, and making a positive difference in the lives of those around him.

Congratulations, Mr. S! This recognition is so well-deserved, and we are lucky to have you as part of our Coyote Ridge pack!

More Howlin' Highlights from Coyote Ridge!

Our 5th graders blasted off into learning during their first day at STARBASE! Students explored the exciting world of science and technology through hands-on activities involving atoms, molecules, chemical compounds, CAD (computer-aided design) programming, measurements, and effervescence experiments!

From creating their own unique call signs to exploring new concepts through fun, interactive experiments, our Coyotes had a blast learning, creating, and discovering!

We can't wait to see what exciting adventures the next four visits bring! A huge thank you to STARBASE for providing our students with these incredible learning opportunities!

Howlin' Highlights from Coyote Ridge!

Our 6th graders have something to celebrate! One of our 6th-grade trios kicked off an exciting weekly tradition of recognizing student success!

Each week, students will be celebrated for reaching their learning goals and earning certificates in Lexia, Zearn, and XtraMath!

We love seeing our Coyotes work hard, set goals, and celebrate their accomplishments! Keep up the amazing work, 6th graders!

Music to Our Ears at Coyote Ridge!

Last week, two of our 5th-grade classes had a special visit from Dr. William Intriligator, Music Director and Conductor of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra!

Dr. Intriligator shared his passion for music with our Coyotes, teaching them about the symphony orchestra, what it's like to be part of an orchestra, and how music can be woven into our everyday lives. Students also got a sneak peek at the exciting YES Concert they'll be attending in February!

Recently, Coyote Ridge Elementary School’s PE department received a very generous donation from the Wyoming Pickleball Association. The donation included pickleball nets, a class set of pickleballs, and pickleball paddles.

A special thank-you to Wally Erickson and the Wyoming Pickleball Association for their generosity! Mr. Ehardt and our students are very excited and grateful for this unique donation and can’t wait to start playing pickleball in class.

Not all superheroes wear capes… but ours sure deserve them!
October 2 was National Custodian Day, and we want to give a HUGE HOWLIN’ SHOUTOUT to our incredible Coyote Ridge custodial team!

These everyday superheroes work hard behind the scenes to keep our school clean, safe, and ready for learning. Their dedication, hard work, and care for our school community never go unnoticed!
