Our annual four-legged temporary employees are back, and you're welcome to see them at work over the next couple weeks! 🐐

Around 300 goats are working to help maintain vegetation overgrowth along a section of Crow Creek near the Ames Avenue underpass. The team is split into two halves – one on the west side of the underpass and one on the east.

The herd is visible from the Greenway along Crow Creek and is kept enclosed by a temporary electric fence.

The City has used goats for several years in Crow Creek and Dry Creek to aid in ensuring those waterways clear and safe for proper drainage. The goats help keep vegetation under control and are more cost-effective than using manual labor, heavy equipment, or chemicals.

This year’s goat cohort will be working until June 26.
