Housing instability can begin long before someone loses their home. It may look like rent becoming unaffordable, a temporary living arrangement, a home that needs essential repairs, or a space that no longer meets someone’s accessibility needs.

Because every situation is different, the place to begin will be different, too. Wyoming 211 can help you explore housing and shelter resources available in your area.

Dial 2-1-1 or search our online resource directory to get started.

Today we remember those who never made it home, the loved ones who have carried their absence ever since, and the people who responded with extraordinary courage and care.

May their memory continue to remind us how important it is to stand together, care for one another, and hold close the humanity we share.

Some of the biggest barriers to better health happen outside the exam room.

Housing instability, transportation challenges, financial strain, access to food, employment, mental health, and other circumstances can all play a role in a patient’s overall health and well-being.

CommuniCare helps participating providers address the bigger picture by giving them tools to identify these needs and connect patients with community resources and services across Wyoming.

It means that when something beyond medical care comes up, providers have a clearer way to help patients take the next step.
