WASHINGTON SHAFTED WYOMING

They're calling it the "biggest oil deal in history." It moved forward through the Pentagon's Office of Strategic Capital, using internal financial mechanisms, without a single hearing, without a vote, without Congress ever weighing in.

The Pentagon is not a corporate enterprise or a sovereign wealth fund. It doesn't get to broker international commercial deals on its own. Congress holds the power of the purse and the duty of oversight, that's not a technicality, it's the whole point of how our government is supposed to work.

So where were our reps when this happened? Nobody was there to ask who's benefiting, how it was structured, or what it means for an energy state like ours. Congress found out from the headlines, same as the rest of us. Nobody made sure Wyoming didn't get cut out.

I'm calling on the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee to convene hearings immediately and demand full transparency on this deal's structure, funding, and legal basis. Wyoming voters expect their representatives to enforce real oversight, not rubber-stamp whatever Washington decides on its own.
