Born, raised, harvested, and processed—all in America! Under the updated rule, “Product of USA” now means exactly what it should mean—the animal was born, raised, harvested, and processed in the U.S.

The "Product of USA" label is a voluntary USDA claim for meat, poultry, and egg products derived from animals exclusively born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States. Check it out at the link! U.S. Department of Agriculture

The Cowboy State Agriculture Initiative is looking for your input! As part of the Initiative’s effort to address some of the most important topics in the agriculture industry in the state of Wyoming, they have developed a questionnaire to gather valuable input from citizens across the state. Please fill out the questionnaire on the Wyoming Department of Agriculture website to help guide the Initiative’s efforts in this important undertaking.

The questionnaire can be found on the Wyoming Department of Agriculture website at https://agriculture.wy.gov/cowboy-state-ag-initiative and the opportunity to provide input will end on December 15th.

The WDA is participating in the Capitol Complex food drive that will take place November 3-14th in Cheyenne with donations going to Needs Inc. for their food pantry. If you are in a position to help and would like to contribute, we have a drop off location in our main office in Cheyenne at 2291 Carey Ave.

With the gap in SNAP benefits coming, we wanted to take this chance to share some resources for anyone who may need them. The Wyoming Hunger Initiative has worked hard with food banks and other organizations across the state for years on food insecurity and has a page dedicated to resources by county throughout the state.

Wyoming is rising to the challenge of beating food insecurity. Visit our county resource pages to find help near you.
