Hello Friends! We have been made aware of this issue and are working on ways to resolve it. Please know, our own staff are having the same problems with their purchased trees. We receive our root stock from multiple nurseries throughout the U.S. and for some reason, we believe we received a batch that does not like our climate or droughty conditions.
If you are having issues, please call. We are working with our distributor but it is difficult to get bareroot plants this late in the season, so it may be next spring. We will make sure to get extras for anyone who has had this issue. Remember, we DO NOT guarantee our trees, as we cannot control all of variables that might exist. Also, please remember that with any mass planting, you can expect a 10% mortality rate for bareroot plants. Please feel free to reach out to us via phone, email ([email protected]) or via this message and we will get back to you! Thanks for understanding!

Linaria vulgaris, Yellow Toadflax, or Butter and Eggs, are all names for this noxious w**d of Laramie County. While, yes, it is pretty and may be liked by some pollinators, it uses up valuable space that natives need to thrive. Further, it's root system can be vast and hard to remove, one more reason it takes over native locations. If you have this, and need ideas about irradicating it, you can call us at (307) 772-2600, or Laramie County W**d & Pest at (307) 245-3213.

Not only has the Laramie County Conservation District already planted thousands of trees in the county this season, they also didn't shy away from helping us plant more in the city! Huge thank you to LCCD for always helping even in the midst of a busy planting season!

Did you know that soil is made up of layers? These layers can be hundreds and thousands of years old. When digging into soil, you are literally digging into history. Every layer tells a story; it’s like the earth’s own natural history book. 🪱🪱

Most soils in Wyoming are fast draining sand or heavy clay that can hold on to water for a long period of time. Ideal for plants like Penstemon, Yarrow, and Russian Sage!

🌱 Topsoil – Where plants grow and roots live
💧 Subsoil – Stores water and nutrients
🪨 Parent Material – Pieces of rock breaking down
🟫 Bedrock – The solid rock below all layers
