PHRCs work hard to prepare local health offices for situations like disease outbreaks and other public health events to keep the community safe. Make an emergency plan for your family and pets. Know what you'll do, where you'll go, and what you'll need if a storm, wildfire, or other emergency happens. Think about what emergencies could happen where you live—like bad weather or wildfires. Plan where your family will go and how you'll get there. If you live far from town, know which neighbors or family you can count on. Start your plan at ready.gov/plan. You can print it out or save it on your phone.

The full schedule for the 51st Annual Wyoming Trauma and EMS Conference is here!

Here is an overview of what we have planned:
🩺Pre-Conference (Aug 19): Continuing Medical Education Training
🩺Day 1 (Aug 20): Kickstart the event with a Keynote from Dominic Syracuse ("From Burnout to Fired Up"). Breakout tracks feature expert sessions such as The ABCs of Burn Resuscitation and pediatric simulation training.
🩺Day 2 (Aug 21): Open with Reed “Roller” Barrett's unique keynote presentation. Dive into diverse clinical tracks covering AI in trauma, frostbite therapies, and stroke education programs.
🩺Day 3 (Aug 22): Start the day with an inspiring session by Jay Scott. Wrap up the event with our annual Awards Presentation lunch and vital closing sessions on critical life threats and complex trauma.

2026 Wyoming Su***de Prevention Symposium

Join us for an opportunity to connect, learn, and strengthen su***de prevention efforts across Wyoming. The 2026 Su***de Prevention Symposium will bring together community partners, professionals, advocates, and individuals passionate about building networks of hope and support.

The Wyoming Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services, will host the 2026 Wyoming Trauma and EMS Conference August 19-22, 2026, in Cheyenne at Little America Hotel and Resorts. The conference will feature speakers from across the nation, continuing education credits, and numerous exhibitors. Watch this page for the registration link once available.
