At AMR Cheyenne, ongoing training is a key part of what we do because providing the best care starts with staying sharp. Throughout each month, our crews dedicate time to hands on training, reviewing skills, practicing scenarios, and working together to continuously improve patient care.

The photos you see here are from just one of our trainings over the past month. From refining critical skills to strengthening teamwork, these sessions help ensure we’re always ready when our community needs us most.

We’re proud of the commitment our team shows every day to learning, growing, and serving Cheyenne. 💙🚑

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to join several local agencies for a Search and Rescue training exercise at Curt Gowdy State Park. We are grateful for the collaboration and the chance to train together, strengthening our ability to effectively serve the Cheyenne and Laramie County communities.

Opportunities like this enhance our skills, build strong interagency partnerships, and ensure we are prepared to respond when critical situations arise.

Thank you to Laramie County Sheriff's Office, Laramie County Fire Authority, Cheyenne/Laramie County Emergency Management, and Pine Bluffs Police Department, Pine Bluffs, WY for this training.

Yesterday, many of us had the privilege of going to our state Capitol to join Governor Mark Gordon in the signing of the proclamation that proclaimed last week as the official week of EMS. We want to thank him for personally recognizing EMS as an essential service in the state of Wyoming.

Today on National Stop the Bleed Day, GMR encourages everyone to get trained, speak up and help prepare their communities to respond confidently in a bleeding emergency. Even a few minutes of learning can make a lifesaving difference, whether you take a local training course or review basic bleeding control techniques at home.

In an emergency, remember the essentials of Stop the Bleed: Alert, Bleeding, Compress. Knowing these steps can empower anyone to take action when it matters most.

🚑 EMS Week 2026 is here! 🚑

AMR Cheyenne is proud to kick off National EMS Week, May 17–23, as we celebrate our EMTs and paramedics who serve Cheyenne and Laramie County every day.

The theme for EMS Week 2026 is “Improving Outcomes, Together.” This theme highlights the teamwork, dedication, and collaboration that make a difference long before a patient reaches the hospital and the partnerships between EMS, healthcare, public safety, and the communities we serve.

This week is about recognizing the people behind the uniform, honoring their commitment to patient care, and thanking them for showing up when it matters most. Join us all week as we celebrate our crews and the vital role EMS plays in keeping our community safe.

💙 Thank you to our AMR Cheyenne team for always being ready to respond.
