Please join the Members, Officers, and Directors of the Chestertown Fire Company on congratulating Firefighter Scott Tomik on his recent graduation from Firefighter One (NYS Basic Exterior Operations with Haz-Mat and NYS Interior Firefighter Operations). During these courses, Scott has dedicated over 110 hours to his Fire Service Education on top of a Full Time Career and his family life. We thank Scott for his dedication to our Fire Company and the Community that we are blessed to serve.

Each Memorial Day, members of the Chestertown Fire Company and our loved ones gather together in the cemetery to honor the brothers and sisters who served this community with honor, dedication, and sacrifice. Their legacy continues to inspire us, and we remain forever grateful for their service and commitment to protecting our neighbors.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Cemetery Flag Committee for their tremendous work in honoring our fallen members, as well as to our members and the Cemetery Clean Up Committee for their hard work preparing and caring for the gravesites ahead of this meaningful tradition.

North Warren Memorial Day Parade Canceled Due to Weather; Community Ceremonies to Proceed at North Warren Central School
NORTH WARREN, NY — Due to anticipated inclement weather, the North Warren Community Memorial Day Parade has been canceled. Memorial Day ceremonies will instead be held indoors at North Warren Central School, with ceremonies beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.
All parade participants are asked to report to the school by 9:30 a.m., prepared as if they were marching in the parade.
Following the North Warren ceremony, additional Memorial Day observances in Adirondack will take place at 11:30 a.m., where the Chestertown American Legion Riders will conduct ceremonies honoring the nation’s fallen service members.
A community lunch and barbecue will follow at 12:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 964 in Chestertown.
“Rain or shine, Memorial Day remains one of the most important days for our community,” said Jack Bartlett, Town of Chester Communications Director. “While the weather may change our plans, it does not diminish our commitment to honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We encourage everyone to join us as we come together in remembrance and gratitude.”
Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the day’s events as the North Warren community continues its longstanding tradition of honoring America’s fallen heroes.

On behalf of the Officers, Directors, and Members of the Chestertown Fire Department, we would like to express a huge Congratulations to 1st Lieutenant Jodi Bartlett, or should we say New York State Fire Instructor Jodi Bartlett!

This past week, Jodi has spent time away from the firehouse and her job as a Paramedic and Deputy EMS Chief to complete her initial certification as a NYS SFI! We are extremely proud of Jodi for her continued commitment to not just our members, our community, but the fire service regionally.

Congratulations Jodi, continue to make us proud.
