This tiny little fella is Teddy. He is only 4 lbs. and full of energy. He's just so excited about life! He is a Toy Poodle mix who is around 6 years old. Teddy is very playful with other dogs and loves to do zoomies around the room. Like a lot of small breed dogs, he can be a bit of a picky eater. As you can see from one of his photos, he has really perfected the side eye. 😅

Calling all Chihuahua lovers! If you are simply looking for a small dog because of their size, Elly May is likely not the one for you. She has all the usual Chihuahua quirks. She can't help it- it's just in her nature! Elly May loves her people and will cuddle all day long. However, she isn't a fan of being crated or sharing her food. If you are aware of this and respect her boundaries, she will do just fine. She is loyal, loving, and will be your shadow. She doesn't pay any mind to other dogs- she can coexist fine with them. Elly May is around 3 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She will need a home with no small children.

Meet Bertha! She gave birth to a litter of puppies while here at the shelter that have since gone to a local rescue group. She is thoroughly enjoying her freedom and now wants to be babied herself 😅. She has a silly personality, loves doing zoomies with a toy in her mouth, and already knows sit. When meeting a kitten here at the shelter, her mothering instinct kicked right back in. Bertha does well with other dogs too. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer mix, around 2 years old, and weighs 54 lbs.

Looking for an affectionate, calm dog who will be your loyal bestie for life!? Bonnie is all that and more 🥰. She walks well on a leash, knows sit, and is already housetrained! Bonnie really loves other dogs. By that, we mean she gets so happy and excited that her whole body wiggles. We are hoping she can find a home that has another dog friend who loves playing just as much as she does. Bonnie is around 8 years of age and has some arthritis in her rear legs. She does well on a daily joint supplement. She is currently just under 50 lbs.

You will never meet a dog who lives life more than Elmer does 😁! He's always smiling, tail wagging, and excited to see you. He loves meeting new people and getting all the attention. He already knows sit and is eager to learn more. Elmer wants to play, play, play with other dogs. Other dogs in the home would need to be tolerant of his strong desire to play with them quite frequently. We think Elmer may be a bit too enthusiastic in his greetings for small children or cats. He is currently 56 lbs. and about a year old.

Solbello is an outgoing girl who loves everybody 🥰! She is a mere 9 lbs. and is around 7 years old. When greeting you, she immediately rolls over for belly rubs. She doesn't care about other dogs and has a very inquisitive personality. Solbello would much prefer to cuddle with you than play with toys.

Introducing the adorable, petite Loretta 💗! She is a Beagle mix who is around 5 years old and weighs 23 lbs. Loretta is very gentle, loves people, and is food motivated. Originally, Loretta came in quite thin and with some skin issues. She's feeling much better now and enjoyed meeting other dog friends.

Nigel was found roaming around the county with an overgrown horn 🥺. His right horn had actually begun growing back into his body. Thanks to a local veterinarian, his horn was surgically removed. He is still receiving ointment on the wound site but is really ready to head to his new home. He is quite the escape artist here in our livestock pen so we really need to find him a home ASAP!

Orville is a handsome Shepherd mix who is around 2 years old. He is already housetrained! He also already knows sit and is eager to learn more. He gets along well with other dogs and is a big fan of toys! He was making us laugh with his many poses for his photoshoot. Orville has tested positive for Heartworms and is on medication that will go home with him. He is around 83 lbs. currently.
