Officers out this morning making sure that Recycled Percussion makes it up Stoddard Hill safely. Good luck on your journey!

These hills are brutal for Justin.

I’ve been with him and Kris for every step so far and this journey has begun with massive relentless hills, heat, and 200 pounds at your hands during any given moment. I hear him repeatedly yelling the distance “my fu***ng calves” over and over, so that will definitely be a theme.

But overall, they are both in good spirits, Kris is his typical hilarious sarcastic self telling Justin to suck it up, and more importantly, I can already tell this will be a memory Kris will never forget.

They are about 4 miles into a 160 mile journey and could certainly use some positive energy along the way. If you are anywhere between Brattleboro VT and Keene NH, feel free to park somewhere safe like a gas station along the route and when we stop to get nutrition, a hug and positive message is always welcome.

Keep pushing 👊🏼

The Chesterfield Police Department would like to remind everyone that annual town dog licenses were due on April 30th. If you have not registered your dog yet (either renewal or new pup), please be sure to do so ASAP either in person with the Chesterfield Town Clerk's office or online https://www.chesterfield.nh.gov/260/Online-Payments.
Any unregistered dogs as of June 20th will be getting a visit and some paperwork. As much as we love getting out and visiting with you all and giving your puppers a pet, we ask that you please have them registered ASAP.
Thank you!

Northern Tree Company has been contracted to remove trees along Westmoreland Road between Rt 9a and Glebe Road. Due to the steep terrain and equipment being used, the roadway will be closed down this week Monday 06/01 and Tuesday 06/02 between the hours of 08:30 am and 02:30 pm (or 0830 - 1430).

There will be flaggers on both sides of the closure. Local traffic and emergency vehicles looking to get to residences north or south of the work location at that time will be allowed access.

Through traffic - please seek alternate routes during these times.
Thank you!

🚲 OHRV & E-Bike Rules 🏍️

OHRV -
🔸Operation is PROHIBITED on public roads unless specifically permitted and posted for OHRV or snowmobile use (posted road crossings or trail connectors).
🔸Some trails may have signage indicating that OHRV's are prohibited.
🔸Any operator or passenger on an OHRV under the age of 18 must wear a helmet and eye protection.
🔸It is unlawful to operate an OHRV or snowmobile while driver’s license is under suspension or revocation.
🔸It is illegal to operate or attempt to operate any OHRV or snowmobile while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, or with a blood alcohol concentration greater than .08% or .02% if less than 21 years old.

E-BIKES -
🔸All e-bikes should have a sticker that identifies which "Class" it falls under. Be aware that aftermarket adjustments may change the classification of the e-bike.
🔹Class 1: Bicycle equipped with an electric motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, and that ceases to provide assistance when the e-bike reaches 20 mph. A helmet is required for any rider under the age of 16.
🔹Class 2: Bicycle equipped with a throttle-actuated electric motor that may be used to provide assistance until the e-bike reaches 20 mph. A helmet is required for any rider under the age of 16.
🔹Class 3 or higher: Bicycle equipped with an electric motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and that it ceases to provide assistance when the e-bike reaches 28 mph. A factory-installed speedometer is also required. You must be 16 years old to operate a Class 3, and a helmet is required for any rider under the age of 18.

Please remember to follow the rules of the road as outlined in NH RSA 265:144 for riding bicycles, and RSA 265:144-a for riding e-bikes.

We hope that you enjoy your ride and that you do so safely and responsibly!

🚨 Reminder- North Shore Beach🚨

As we head into the summer season, the Chesterfield Police Department would like to remind everyone that a valid Town decal must be properly displayed when parking at and using North Shore Town Beach.

To help avoid confusion and potential enforcement action:

✅ Town decals must be displayed on the front windshield, passenger-side lower corner of the vehicle.

❌ Displaying a vehicle registration resident will not be considered sufficient.

Vehicles without properly displayed decals may be subject to enforcement, including fines or towing in accordance with posted regulations.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping ensure the beach remains available for authorized town residents and their guests. Thank you for helping us keep the area orderly and enjoyable for all.
