Attention Residents,

Monmouth Road (Rt. 537) will be closed between Sykesville Road and Rt. 545 for emergency utility work. The road is projected to reopen around 10PM tonight. Please be patient and plan travel accordingly. We appreciate your cooperation!

🚨 Chesterfield Township Celebrates America's 250th Anniversary Parade - Road Closures & Detour Notice🚨

The Chesterfield Township Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that several road closures and detours will be in effect on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for Chesterfield Township’s Parade - Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary!

⏰ Road Closures: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

❌ Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road (CR 677/660)
• Closed to thru traffic from Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (CR 528) to Main Street.
• No traffic permitted between Main Street and Rosewood Drive South.
• Local traffic only between Bordentown-Chesterfield Road and Rosewood Drive South.

❌ Main Street (CR 660)
• Closed to all traffic between Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road and Church Street.

❌ Front Street
• Closed to all traffic between Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road and Bordentown-Crosswicks Road (CR 672).

❌ Church Street
• Closed between Front Street and Main Street.

⚠️ Ellisdale Road
• No thru traffic at Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road.
• Local traffic only between Waln Road and Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road.

🚗 Detours will be in place for motorists traveling through the Village and Crosswicks areas. Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.

⏰ Additional Closures: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

❌ Front Street will remain closed between Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road and Bordentown-Crosswicks Road (CR 672).

❌ Church Street will remain closed between Front Street and Main Street.

🅿️ Parking Restrictions: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

📍 Church Street
• Parking will be permitted on the residential side of the roadway only.
• No parking will be permitted on the Village Green side (T-ball field/Meeting House side).

➡️ Traveling North toward Crosswicks from the Chesterfield Inn / Chesterfield General Store area?
Use:
• Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (CR 528)
• Bordentown-Crosswicks Road (CR 672)
• Ward Avenue
• Church Street

➡️ Traveling West into Crosswicks from North Hanover or Allentown via Ellisdale Road?
Use:
• Waln Road
• Chesterfield-Crosswicks Road (CR 677)
• Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (CR 528)

What an incredible day at our “Cone with a Cop” event this past Saturday! 🚓🍦

The Chesterfield Township Police Department would like to sincerely thank all of the residents and especially the children who stopped out to spend time with us. From sharing laughs and conversations to checking out police vehicles and enjoying some sweet treats, it was a fantastic opportunity for our officers to connect with the community we are proud to serve every day.

Events like these are a great reminder of how special the Chesterfield community truly is, and we are grateful to everyone who came out and made the day such a success.

A special thank you as well to Mayor Rebecca Hughes and the members of the Township Committee for their continued support and involvement in community events that help strengthen the relationship between residents and law enforcement.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Chesterfield Green Fun Fair 🎉

Dear Residents,

On Sunday, May 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, several road closures will be in effect due to the Chesterfield Green Fun Fair at Village Square Park:

• Saddle Way (between Thorn Rd and Wright Drive) – Closed in both directions
• Wright Drive (between Stevenson Lane and Saddle Way) – Westbound lane closed for vendor drop-off prior to the event; both lanes closed during the event
• Filly Lane at Wright Drive – Southbound lane closed during the event

🚗 Event Parking: Additional parking will be available at the school parking lots.

Please plan accordingly and expect delays. We appreciate your cooperation and hope to see you out enjoying the festivities!
