Your library card does WAY more than check out books. September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and it’s the perfect time to discover everything waiting for you at Chesterfield Township Library.

From books and digital resources to technology help, Makerspace opportunities, early literacy programs, teen activities, book clubs, crafts, educational programs, and special community events, there’s something happening for just about every age and interest. September alone includes LEGO Robotics, teen activities, storytimes, computer help, a used book sale, and more.

As we celebrate Labor Day and settle into our fall routines, put your library on the calendar too. Get your library card, explore the upcoming events, and start taking advantage of everything your Chesterfield Township Library has to offer.

What does the library offer teens?

There are plenty of programs designed for younger children, but what about teens? At Chesterfield Township Library, we’ve made a significant investment in teen programming over the past two years, and participation has grown right along with it.

Each month, we offer multiple teen-focused activities designed to give teens opportunities to connect, learn, create, and have fun. There’s also a dedicated teen space tucked inside the library where they can study, game, spend time together, or simply have a quiet place of their own.

With Labor Day marking the unofficial start of fall routines and a new school year, it’s a great time for teens to discover what’s waiting for them at the library. Check out our upcoming teen programs and find something worth coming back for.

Thank you for all you do in researching and preserving our history!

This week's history post is a little different, but a lot important!! We're giving you a sneak peek into the man behind the scenes....

A special thank you to Adam Mueller for his help and support with our Chesterfield Township History Posts! When we have reached out for information, Adam has generously shared historical materials and resources with us, helping us tell more stories about Chesterfield’s past. Through his own efforts, he has also helped expand the historical archives of our local area, preserving valuable pieces of our community’s history for future generations.

Adam serves as Librarian, Adult Services at the Chesterfield Township Library and as Secretary of the Chesterfield Historical Society. We appreciate his knowledge, generosity, and commitment to preserving and sharing Chesterfield’s history with our community!
