🚨 STRANGER DANGER: One Simple Rule Every Child Should Know 🚨

Teach your children this important rule:

👉 Adults ask other adults for help — not children.

If a grown-up approaches your child and says:

“Can you help me find my puppy?”
“Can you help me find my lost child?”
“Can you show me where something is?”
“I need help carrying something.”
“Can you come with me for a minute?”
Your child should know that they do NOT need to help.

Tell them:

🛑 “I’m a kid. Ask an adult.”

Then move away and find a trusted adult — a parent, teacher, police officer, store employee, or another safe adult.

Tai Chi for Health with trainer Rachel Van Wechel, RN! This will be held at the Senior Center for 8 weeks beginning on September 16th on Wednesdays & Fridays at 1pm! There is no cost to attend.

UPDATE:

Flat Coulee Road has been reopened.

⚠ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE⚠

Flat Coulee Road between Sage Creek Colony and Schaefer Rd due to a failed cattle guard. Liberty County Road Department is at the scene and should have the road open by the end of the day. Once work is complete and the road is safe to drive on we will post an update.

Liberty County District Court sent out jury notifications for the new jury term beginning July 1, 2026. This is your reminder that if you have received a notice and have not returned your jury questionnaire, please do so as soon as possible. If we have not received your questionnaire, your name must be turned over to the Liberty County Sheriff for personal service, pursuant to Montana law. Your questionnaire can be dropped off at the Liberty County Courthouse. If you have any questions, please call the Clerk of Court’s office directly at 406-759-5615.

PSA from Sheriff’s Office:

There is a combine with a header broke down on Broadhurst Road Between Johnny Wicks and Craig Broadhurst. Located just past Craig's on the hill. Down hill traffic can't see them. Big trucks won't be able to pass but small vehicles probably can.
