🚨TRAFFIC ADVISORY🚨

For those who are traveling in or around the Village of Chester today, expect delays and heavy traffic congestion due to the annual block party and firework show. Plan accordingly if you are attending, as parking may be limited.

Handicap parking is available off Vadala Road which is accessible from Main Street.

Village of Chester Police Officers will be at various locations throughout the Village to assist with parking before the show, and to assist with traffic flow once the event is over.

Event begins at 5:00 pm followed by fireworks around 9:00 pm.

The Kiwanis Club of Chester, NY annual 5K race is taking place on May 23rd, 2026 at 0845 hours. Downtown Chester will be closed to through traffic, and all access to downtown will be blocked off. This road closure should be in effect for approximately an hour. Thank you for your cooperation.
