NATIONAL POLICE WEEK • MAY 10–16, 2026

National Police Week is observed across the country as a time to recognize and honor the men and women of law enforcement for their dedication, bravery, and commitment to serving others. It is also a time to reflect on and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty while protecting their communities.
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and established the week in which it falls as National Police Week. This observance continues to stand as a reminder of the risks, sacrifices, and responsibility that come with wearing the badge.
We are proud to stand beside the courageous individuals who choose this calling of service. Their willingness to protect others, often in the most difficult circumstances, reflects a level of commitment and professionalism that deserves our deepest respect and appreciation.
During this week of recognition, we also pause to honor the fallen and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and we remain forever grateful for their bravery. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, loved ones, and fellow officers.
To all law enforcement personnel across the nation, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and continued service.
We encourage everyone to take time this week to honor those who serve and remember those we have lost.
