Lots of Democratic positive energy flowing yesterday at the Primary! Thanks to everyone who volunteered, came out to vote, or voted by mail or drop box!

Here's a look at the results, thanks to our Upper Chesco Democrats!

PRIMARY DAY NUMBERS (as of noon on 5/20/26)
While the turnout was lighter than usual, spurred on by the heat and many uncontested races, we saw over a MILLION Democrats cast their vote for Governor Shapiro and Lt. Governor Davis while we saw the Governor’s Republican opponent significantly trailing in her Primary vote count.

Of the votes cast, over 40% of the vote for Governor was cast by Mail-in-Ballot with the Republican candidate’s Mail-in-Ballot numbers being barely above 20%.

Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan received over 50,000 votes in Chester County and over 12,000 votes in parts of Berks County, with nearly 47% of her vote coming via Mail-in-Ballot in Chester County, and nearly 45% of her votes coming via Mail-in-Ballots in Berks County.

State Senator Katie Muth received over 18,000 votes in parts of Chester County, over 500 votes in parts of Berks County, over 5,400 votes in parts of Montgomery County, with nearly 49% of her votes coming via Mail-in-Ballots in Chester County, 49% of her votes coming via Mail-in-Ballot in Berks County and 60% of her votes coming via Mail-in-Ballots in Montgomery County.

State Representative Paul Friel received over 6,000 votes in Chester County with over 42% of his votes coming via Mail-in-Ballots.

State Representative Kristine Howard received over 6,000 votes in Chester County with nearly 49% of her votes coming via Mail-in-Ballots.

There was a contested race for one female identifying PA State Committee Person from Chester County. The apparent winner, at this point, is Diane O’Dwyer. The other winning ballot spots were Abdul Mughees Chaudri, Kieran Franke, Christopher Kowerdovich, Paul Lahm, Russ Phifer, Jenn Fenn, Kristin Gerling, Carlotta Johnson-Pugh and Michelle Smith.

Congratulations to our 3 West Vincent Democratic Committeepeople, who were elected yesterday - Jennifer Munson and Tom Bonner from West Vincent 1 and Marie Paone from West Vincent 2!

If you live in Chester County, read and share. The Chester County Republican Party is challenging 1100 provisional ballots, causing a hearing Monday. Even though the counting of the ballots was done on live camera, they may require that all eleven hundred people come to the courthouse to defend their ballots. There may not even be a way to reach all of these people.

Vote for Sean Clark for Township Supervisor!

Sean's family has called West Vincent home for three years, and in that time, they quickly became involved in our community. Sean regularly attends the monthly Supervisors meetings. He is a member of the Environmental Advisory Council, and participates in service and educational events. His wife, Dawn, is also contributing as a member of the Open Space Review Board. Through these experiences, they have had the chance to connect with both long-time residents and those who are newer to the township.

He is an energetic, working father with two young children. This isn't a pastime for him; it's about ensuring a bright future for his family and yours. He has a real stake in making sure our roads are safe, our community stays vibrant, and our tax dollars are used effectively, both now and for the long haul.
