Chester Hill Hose Company Volunteer Fire Company The Chester Hill Hose Company was started in 1883 with a group of volunteers purchasing a hand pulled hose cart.

1903.

The Company was Incorporated and Chartered as The Chester Hill Hose Company "C.H.H.Co."

1923. The Hose Company reorganized after a long period of inactivity. Chester Hill Borough Council persuaded Borough Residence to take an active roll due to excessive financial demands by neighboring Fire Companies. This saved necessity to levy additional taxes and resulted in great saving through reduction of fire insurance rates.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of member and past Fire Police Lieutenant, James “Jimbo” Matier.
Jimbo was a friend to all and always good for a laugh. We thank him for his years of service and friendship. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
